Matthew Scanlin
ATC, Dry Needling Cert.
Recovery Therapy
Athletic trainer
Originally from Sonora, California, Matt played a variety of sports growing up, but specialized in swimming and water polo in high school. Going into college, Matt was unsure of what he wanted to do for a career, but he knew that he wanted to work around athletics, so he picked athletic training as his major at San Diego State and fell in love with the profession. He interned with football and track and field at SDSU and Cathedral Catholic High School while in school and since that time has worked primarily with high school athletes as the ATC at La Costa Canyon High School. Working at a high school, Matt has seen a wide range of injuries and understands the demands for an athlete returning to virtually any sport and is passionate about bridging the gap between rehabilitation and sport performance. In his free time, Matt enjoys working out, playing golf, and visiting local breweries with his friends.
